The De Asis couple exchanged their vows against a backdrop of turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and ancient Mayan ruins. Tulum, Mexico, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and romantic atmosphere, making it truly magical.

As a destination wedding photographer, capturing the magic of Tulum is both a joy and a privilege.

In this post, I’ll showcase some of the most stunning wedding photos ever taken here. Warm in every sense, with summer-long energy and a bohemian style.

The Day Before the Wedding

Welcome drinks for all the guests in an incredible jungle setting, where I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of this adorable couple.

The couple took the opportunity to connect with their guests during the welcome drinks, sharing moments of relaxation and fun. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy each other’s company before the big day, when the focus would shift to the wedding schedule.

Wedding Day:

The wedding day began with an incredible positive energy. The bride’s team gathered in a stunning jungle-style treehouse suite at the Kanan Hotel & Spa, surrounded by her bridesmaids and family.

My goal was to capture every detail authentically, highlighting elements that showcased the full scope of the setting and its unique features. Picturesque architecture and breathtaking lighting ensured stunning photos.

I captured the couple’s preparations, focusing on details like the dress, rings, and bouquet. For the flat lays, I used natural light and a setting near the windows to maintain the environment’s authenticity.

She chose a stunning gown from Grace Loves Lace Bridal Boutique in Boston, Massachusetts. The design beautifully accentuated her silhouette, featuring an open back to stay cool in Tulum’s high temperatures.

The bohemian-style bouquets and floral arrangements, created by Pri Ola Pri Ola, perfectly complemented the occasion.

Meanwhile, the guys were having fun in the other room.

A breathtaking Caribbean coastal location for the vow exchange, surrounded by loved ones who embraced the wedding experience on the most beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters.

The natural beauty of this place provides the perfect canvas for wedding photos, creating an ethereal glow that enhances every shot.

The Perfect Destination

Tulum, with its combination of natural splendor and cultural depth, offered more than just a venue; it provided an experience. The De Asis wedding was a testament to the magic Tulum brings to such significant life events. For couples seeking a destination that combines beauty, history, and romance, Tulum stands out as an idyllic choice.

Ultimately, the De Asis wedding was more than the union of two hearts; it was a celebration of love in one of the world’s most captivating settings. Tulum, with its turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and ancient Mayan ruins, proved to be a place where love stories are not just told, but lived beautifully.

Romantic Setting

Tulum’s unique blend of natural and cultural elements created a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. The sunset, casting golden hues over the ocean and ruins, provided a stunning transition from day to night, bathing the celebration in a warm, intimate glow. As the evening progressed, twinkling lights and the soft glow of candles heightened the romance, making the reception as magical as the ceremony itself.

The venue and catering were provided by Akiin Beach Tulum Weddings, and special thanks to Karla Oropeza Weddings, who expertly coordinated the day and took care of everyone, including the team of professionals, with great care.

Vibe Boho:

Tulum is known for its relaxed, bohemian vibe. This atmosphere translates perfectly into wedding photography, allowing for spontaneous and carefree shots that capture the true essence of the couple’s love and joy.

Before wrapping up this post, I’d like to share a few tips from my incredible experience photographing in Tulum.
Get ready for lots of fun, and remember—the margaritas will likely be your main source of hydration, haha. Besides the beautiful spots to visit, plan to arrive a few days before the wedding to explore some cenotes and enjoy the delicious local restaurants. This way, you’ll get familiar with the stunning sunsets and vibrant energy of the area. I also recommend staying near the main streets of Tulum to ensure easy transportation. Let your creativity guide the rest of your journey!
